What we collect

SimpleSmartRadio is a directory of public internet radio streams. We do not require an account and we do not track you across sites. The only information that ever leaves your browser is what you type into the search field — that request goes to our API (api.simplesmartradio.com) so we can return matching stations.

Cookies & local storage

Essential: simplesmartradio-favourites (localStorage, no tracking — stores which stations you have favourited).

Advertising (only after AdSense launches, and only if you consent): __gads, __gpi, and other cookies set by Google for ad delivery and frequency capping. Not set until you give consent via the bottom-of-page banner.

Data we share

When a page with an ad is loaded, Google receives what any ad-supported site would send to them: your IP address, browser identifiers, and the URL of the page you are viewing. This URL may include a search term when the ad is shown on /search/?q=…. Google uses this to serve ads, enforce your consent choice, and prevent fraud.

We do not send any additional telemetry on top of the standard ad-request. Which stations you favourite, which stations you play, and how you navigate inside the site are never transmitted to Google or any ad partner by us. Favourites are kept in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.

Audio streams

When you hit play, your browser connects directly to the station operator's stream server. We do not proxy, re-encode, or log the connection.

Your rights

If you are an EEA/UK visitor you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Since we do not run accounts, in practice this reduces to the ad-cookie consent choice managed by Google Funding Choices. Contact privacy@simplesmartcompany.com with any request.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via a banner on the homepage for at least 14 days.
